Covid Kindness Mount Gambier

With the coronavirus (COVID-19) impacting lives worldwide, self-isolation and social distancing can bring on feelings of loneliness and will prove a challenge for our health and wellbeing.

At times like this, it’s essential we support one another and show compassion to those who need it, neighbour to neighbour, street to street.

The Sunshine Coast Council have kindly shared some wonderful resources they have developed to help combat social isolation, loneliness and community disconnection.

To help support our community, the Mount Gambier & Districts Health Advisory Council is introducing the COVID KINDNESS neighbour card.

Together we can build a more connected and inclusive community. Whether its picking up groceries or medications for an elderly neighbour, walking the dog, mowing the lawn, or just a friendly chat, these kindness cards may be a lifeline for someone in need

Simply download a free CovidKindness postcard, print out and complete the details, including how you can help.
Then pop the card into the mailbox or slide it under the door of those around you (after washing your hands).

If someone requires help, they can reach out to you on the number provided. If you have items to deliver you can leave on the doorstep to avoid direct contact. This initiative is proudly supported by Member for Mount Gambier Troy Bell. If you need copies of the neighbour cards printed, we are happy to assist.
