Reinstatement of Nationwide Ambulance Cover

In 2016, the SA Ambulance Service announced changes to their ambulance cover, cutting their coverage of interstate services.

Located 20kms from the Victorian border, this move held major implications for residents who travelled across the border for sport, education, work and recreational commitments.

After meeting with concerned residents, Troy took action, instigating a petition calling on SA Ambulance to reverse these changes.

Thousands of residents showed their support and signed this petition, which was tabled in State Parliament.

The Labor Government conducted an independent review into this matter and a two-tiered system was introduced, which ensured South Australian residents were covered interstate.

This was a major win for Limestone Coast residents.
